Large Zubi Dahlia with a bouquet of dried flowers.
Dahlias are native to Mexico, and in Spain they are summer flowers. In my childhood, I remember seeing them planted in the vegetable gardens of Laredo, where we spent our summers, along with beans, peppers, and lettuce. They were planted to decorate the houses, but also to be used in the Battle of the Flowers at the end of summer.
This bag, in both sizes, is perhaps the most cheerful. The turquoise green background, with the pink in the foreground, fascinates me. They remind me of a summer sorbet! The large one for everyday use and the small one for evenings.
