When these dates arrive I usually share with you something I have learned after spending sixteen years behind a counter, selling flowers: everyone likes flowers.
It's true that it's a bit frustrating to give gifts just because we're bombarded with commercial "love" messages left and right (we do it too, but I hope you don't think it's excessive). But the reality is that most of us go through life... without remembering to do that little thing. And I assure you, nobody turns down a sweet treat. Shopkeeper's word.
However, I'll leave you with a few suggestions to ensure the whole operation is a success, because we've had some "dramas" and they're easy to avoid:
1. If your daughter doesn't have a boyfriend, don't send her anonymous flowers making her believe they are from an admirer.
2. Don't do this with your partner either, unless you want to create a conflict.
3. Always, always, always sign the card that accompanies the flowers. The "she already knows who they're from" excuse doesn't always work. Trust me.
4. Order the flowers in advance. This will ensure you have the flowers you've chosen (on Valentine's Day, there can be last-minute surprises regarding flower quality) and a card written in your best handwriting. We write all the cards by hand, and this is best done at a leisurely pace.
5. If sending red roses seems too predictable, take a look at our special SV selection . You'll see many other options. And above all, you'll see that in many of them, the container is just as important as the flowers, making it a gift that will last a long time. For example: ice buckets and hatboxes .

6. If you're one of those people who dreams of receiving flowers from our shop (thank you!), don't hesitate to use the "send a hint" button we've just activated on all our product pages. This will help prevent them from sending you flowers wrapped in foil 😉 and encourage them to use our fantastic online shop— now completely revamped and working like a charm.

7. Valentine's Day falls on a Friday this year. If you're planning to surprise your partner with a weekend getaway, we can help you out and send a picnic basket with champagne , strawberries, flowers (in water), and our amazing peony candle to wherever you are, to make the surprise truly special. A winter picnic in front of a fireplace sounds like a wonderful idea.

8. And if you live outside Madrid, and we can't send you fresh flowers—we're sorry, they suffer too much during transport—we've created a section called " Gifts Deliveries Peninsula " where you'll find a small selection of products that can help you celebrate. For example: a bouquet of dried flowers (this is new!) and our peony candle.
And finally, as my friend Sole, who is very wise, says, "In the end, what is important in life is Love, that love that embraces everything and understands everything, that LOVE is what makes us happy."
Happy Valentine's Day to all.
XXX,
